Gravity System Help Center

Get practical answers for using The Gravity Restaurant Leadership System, choosing the right starting point, understanding releases, and working with the 15 operating systems.

Use Gravity without guessing

Start with the question that is blocking you.

This Help Center is product support for people using Gravity books, operating systems, forms, workbooks, downloads, and installation plans. It is not a general restaurant advice forum. If a repeated question reveals unclear instructions, the source material should be improved.

Frequently asked questions

Common Gravity questions, answered clearly.

These answers match the current release and are written for customers using the system today.

What is The Gravity Restaurant Leadership System?

The Gravity Restaurant Leadership System is a connected set of restaurant leadership books, operating systems, workbooks, forms, SOP resources, training tools, and implementation guidance designed to help owners and managers turn recurring problems into clear standards, assigned ownership, measurable controls, and verified follow-through.

Who is Gravity designed for?

Gravity is designed for restaurant owners, general managers, assistant managers, kitchen and front-of-house managers, shift leaders, trainers, multi-unit operators, and future restaurant leaders who need practical systems for running and improving a restaurant.

Do Gravity products require a purchase during the Founding Year?

No. Every finished Gravity product released on ThomasMonroeBooks.com is available at no cost through October 1, 2027 during the Founding Year. Optional support or donations are voluntary and are not required to access finished products.

What is included in a Gravity operating-system kit?

Each current operating-system release includes an Operating Manual, Forms Library, Digital Control Workbook, Manager Training materials, a File Guide, fixed PDF references where applicable, and release validation information. Individual systems may also contain specialized support tools.

Where should I start if my restaurant has several problems at once?

Start with one real problem, assign one accountable owner, and begin with only three to five tools that directly address that problem. Gravity is designed to reduce chaos by creating a manageable starting point rather than asking a team to install everything at once.

What is the difference between the 30-Day Accelerated and 60-Day Guided plans?

The 30-Day Accelerated path is for teams that can move quickly with strong management attention and frequent follow-through. The 60-Day Guided path covers the same implementation purpose at a more sustainable pace with additional time for training, adoption, evidence collection, and correction. The 60-day path is differently sequenced; it is not simply the 30-day plan doubled.

Why does Gravity recommend starting with only three to five tools?

A smaller starting set makes ownership, training, measurement, and follow-through clearer. Once those tools are working reliably, the restaurant can add the next tools based on evidence instead of creating another paperwork burden.

Can I customize Gravity forms, SOPs, and workbooks?

Editable files are provided where appropriate so a restaurant can adapt tools to its operation. Customized standards should still have a clear owner, approval method, effective date, version control, training requirement, and verification process so employees know which version is current.

Do I need special restaurant software or a specific POS to use Gravity?

No. Gravity is designed to work alongside the systems a restaurant already uses. Some tools can be supported by POS, scheduling, payroll, accounting, inventory, or other software data, but the operating system does not require one specific vendor.

How do the 15 Gravity operating systems work together?

Each operating system owns a defined area of the restaurant, while shared problems are handed from one system to another when needed. For example, a food-cost problem may begin in Food Cost, Inventory & Purchasing, affect Performance & Profitability, require manager action, and use Implementation & Verification to confirm the correction was actually installed.

What does VERIFIED CLOSED mean in Gravity?

VERIFIED CLOSED means an action is not considered complete merely because someone says it was handled. The responsible leader confirms that the correction was completed and that evidence shows the problem or required action was actually resolved.

How do I know which Gravity system owns my problem?

Use the Start Here guide and the Operating Systems page to identify the system whose primary responsibility matches the problem. If the issue crosses boundaries, begin with the system that owns the original condition and document the handoff to any other system that must act.

How do I get help if I cannot figure out how to use a Gravity tool?

Use the Gravity System Help Center for common questions and how-to guidance. If the answer is not available, use the site contact option to submit a system-use question. Repeated questions are used as product feedback so future instructions and tools can be improved.

How are Gravity releases and revisions handled?

Current customer files use explicit release numbers so manuals, forms, workbooks, training, package filenames, and website references can be kept synchronized. When a release is replaced, customers should use the newest approved package and retire superseded working copies.

What is the Gravity Fulfillment Center?

The Gravity Fulfillment Center is the developing home for optional physical supplies that support Gravity implementation, including reviewed printed forms, SOP and station posters, binders, kits, and related materials. No physical items are available to order yet. Gravity digital products remain available during the Founding Year, and physical supplies will always be optional. Visit the Fulfillment Center.
